Job Description
The Business Development Associate (Australia) will play a key role in expanding Talentier’s client base across Australia by identifying opportunities and building strategic partnerships. This involves engaging with startups, SMEs, and enterprises across various industries and introducing Talentier’s tailored tech services. For example, the manager might attend networking events in Sydney, collaborate with tech accelerators in Melbourne, or meet with potential partners in Brisbane to explore business opportunities.
The role also focuses on establishing partnerships with Australian incubators, universities, and industry hubs to unlock growth and innovation. The manager will work closely with internal teams to align market needs with Talentier’s solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-impact services. For example, they may coordinate with marketing on campaigns or collaborate with engineers to design MVPs that meet client expectations in Australia’s startup ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities
• Identify New Business Opportunities:
Research and connect with startups, SMEs, and enterprises across key Australian cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
Example: Reach out to edtech startups in Sydney or fintech firms in Melbourne to explore collaboration opportunities.
• Build and Manage Partnerships:
Develop and nurture relationships with accelerators, incubators, and universities to foster long-term collaborations.
Example: Partner with a Melbourne-based accelerator to offer consulting and product development services to startups.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams:
Align with marketing, product, and sales teams to develop tailored solutions for Australian clients.
Example: Work with the engineering team to ensure solutions meet the specific needs of a healthcare startup.
• Attend Industry Events and Network:
Represent Talentier at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and build brand visibility.
Example: Attend StartCon in Sydney or the Australian Startup Festival to connect with potential partners and clients.
• Meet Sales Targets and Drive Growth:
Focus on hitting revenue goals by building a strong sales pipeline and managing client relationships.
Job Requirements
• Relevant Experience:
Open to current university students, graduates and candidates with 2+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales.
• Sales and Negotiation Skills:
Proven ability to build client relationships and close deals.
• Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
Able to solve challenges creatively and thrive in dynamic environments.
• Collaborative and Data-Driven:
Comfortable working with internal teams and using data to refine sales strategies.
• Language Skills:
Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
