DevOps Software Engineer

Location: Remote - Global

Job Description

Talentier is looking for an experienced DevOps Software Engineer to join our remote team, focusing on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable infrastructure for our global client base. As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing automated deployment pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high system reliability for applications spanning industries like tech, finance, and healthcare.


This position requires a strong grasp of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and system monitoring to support high-performing, secure, and resilient environments.


The ideal candidate has a background in infrastructure as code (IaC), container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure a smooth development lifecycle, scalability, and quick deployment across our range of projects.

Job Responsibilities

Build and Maintain Infrastructure:

Design and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure, using tools like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.


Example: Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) and streamline setup for new projects.


Develop and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines:

Create automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to improve productivity and minimize manual processes.


Example: Implement Jenkins pipelines to automate code deployment and testing processes.


Implement and Manage Containerization:

Utilize containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes to streamline deployment and improve scalability.


Example: Set up Kubernetes clusters to manage microservices for a global client application.


Monitor System Health and Performance:

Set up and manage monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure optimal performance and reliability of infrastructure.


Example: Implement Prometheus monitoring to detect and alert on resource bottlenecks.


Enhance Security and Compliance:

Apply best practices for system security and compliance, ensuring data protection and secure deployments.


Example: Use IAM roles and security groups on AWS to control access and improve cloud security.


Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with development and QA teams to resolve infrastructure issues and improve the development lifecycle.


Example: Partner with QA to integrate automated testing in the CI/CD pipeline.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience:

2+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure management.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).


Strong Understanding of Containerization:

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.


Excellent Communication Skills:

Fluent in English, with the ability to collaborate in a global, remote team environment.


Proactive and Problem-Solving Oriented:

Capable of identifying and addressing infrastructure issues to maintain high system availability and performance.
