Sales Representative (English/Japanese Speaker)

Job Description

Talentier is looking for a Sales Representative (English/Japanese Speaker) to expand our client base and drive business growth in Japan. This role is focused on building relationships with startups, SMEs, and enterprises across industries such as tech, finance, healthcare, and retail to introduce Talentier’s tech consulting and development solutions. The Sales Representative will represent Talentier by networking at Japanese industry events, connecting with potential clients, and supporting the sales process from lead generation to closing.


This position requires a client-centered approach, proficiency in both English and Japanese, and familiarity with Japanese business culture. The Sales Representative will also collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure alignment with campaigns tailored to the Japanese market. Attendance at key industry events and conferences, such as the Japan IT Week and CEATEC, is also part of the role to help build Talentier’s visibility.

Job Responsibilities

Identify and Engage Potential Clients:

Research and connect with startups, SMEs, and enterprises across Japan in major cities like Tokyo and Osaka to generate leads.


Example: Reach out to fintech companies in Tokyo or connect with healthcare firms in Osaka to explore business opportunities.


Support the Sales Process and Follow-Up:

Guide clients through the sales journey, including outreach, meetings, and deal closing.


Example: Conduct follow-up meetings with potential clients from networking events to convert leads into clients.


Collaborate with Internal Teams:

Work closely with the Marketing and Product teams to develop sales strategies tailored to the Japanese market.


Example: Align with marketing on a campaign promoting AI services for Japan’s financial sector.


Attend Industry Events and Build Networks:

Represent Talentier at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and increase brand awareness.


Example: Attend events like Japan IT Week to connect with tech startups and promote Talentier’s solutions.


Achieve Sales Targets and Drive Growth:

Focus on meeting revenue goals by building and managing a pipeline of clients.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience:

Open to university students, graduates and candidates with 1-2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client management.


Sales and Negotiation Skills:

Proven ability to build client relationships and close deals effectively.


Bilingual Communication Skills:

Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential for engaging effectively with local clients.


Proactive and Solution-Oriented:

Self-starter with the ability to identify new opportunities and navigate challenges independently.


Collaborative and Data-Driven:

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and leveraging data insights to refine sales strategies.
