QA Software Engineer

Location: Remote - Global

Job Description

Talentier is seeking an experienced QA Software Engineer to join our remote team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions for a global client base. This role focuses on developing, executing, and automating test plans to ensure application reliability, functionality, and performance across various industries, including finance, healthcare, e-commerce, and technology.


You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to design comprehensive testing strategies that prevent bugs, enhance user experiences, and align with client requirements.


The ideal candidate has a background in software testing, automation frameworks, and quality assurance methodologies. You will be responsible for establishing QA standards and processes, writing test cases, and conducting manual and automated tests to guarantee our solutions meet the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

Design and Execute Test Plans:

Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test cases and plans for software applications, ensuring thorough validation of functionality and performance.


Example: Write test cases to validate the accuracy of data processing in a finance management app.


Develop and Implement Automated Testing Frameworks:

Use automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, or Cypress to create automated test scripts that support regression and functional testing.


Example: Implement an automated regression test suite for an e-commerce application to verify functionality with each deployment.


Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work closely with developers, product managers, and design teams to integrate QA into the development lifecycle and identify potential issues early on.


Example: Partner with the product team to clarify requirements and prioritize test scenarios for a healthcare client’s mobile application.


Identify, Track, and Resolve Bugs:

Identify software issues, report bugs using tracking tools like JIRA, and work with developers to resolve them promptly.


Example: Log and track critical UI bugs found during usability testing in a SaaS platform.


Enhance QA Processes and Standards:

Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent quality across projects and promote testing efficiency.


Example: Establish a standardized test protocol to ensure consistency across projects for different clients.


Perform Load and Performance Testing:

Conduct performance and load testing to validate scalability, identify bottlenecks, and ensure stability under varying conditions.


Example: Use JMeter to simulate high-traffic scenarios on an application and identify potential performance issues.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience:

2+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar role.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Cypress, or Postman for API testing, along with experience in test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA.


Strong Problem-Solving Abilities:

Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and troubleshooting complex issues.


Excellent Communication Skills:

Fluent in English and able to work effectively in a remote, global team environment.


Self-Motivated and Detail-Oriented:

Capable of managing time efficiently, multitasking, and maintaining high attention to detail in testing processes.
