Business Development Associate (UK)

Job Description
The Business Development Associate (UK) will focus on expanding Talentier’s client base across the UK market and building long-term strategic partnerships. This role involves identifying new business opportunities with tech companies, startups, SMEs, and other enterprises that need tech solutions or development support. For example, the manager may attend tech meetups in London, networking events in Manchester, or startup summits in Edinburgh to connect with potential clients and introduce Talentier’s offerings.
The associate will also develop partnerships with UK-based incubators, accelerators, and universities to create new growth opportunities. Additionally, they will work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, and Sales) to align Talentier’s services with market needs and set measurable sales goals. For instance, they may collaborate with product engineers to tailor solutions for client needs or work with marketing to refine lead-generation strategies based on UK market trends.
Job Responsibilities
• Identify New Opportunities:
Research tech companies, startups, and SMEs across key regions like London, Manchester, Edinburgh and U.K. cities to uncover new business opportunities.
• Build and Manage Partnerships:
Develop relationships with incubators, accelerators, universities, and industry networks to foster long-term collaborations.
Example: Partner with a London-based accelerator to offer tech consulting services to early-stage startups.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams:
Work with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of UK clients.
Example: Align with the sales team to create a strategy for promoting AI solutions to fintech startups in the UK.
• Attend Industry Events and Network:
Represent Talentier at conferences, startup expos, and networking events to raise brand visibility and generate new leads.
Example: Attend London Tech Week or SaaS North to connect with potential partners and clients.
• Drive Sales and Meet Targets:
Build and manage a client pipeline, focusing on hitting revenue targets. The more business you bring in, the more you earn.
Job Requirements
• Relevant Experience:
Open to university students, graduates and candidates with 2+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
We value creativity and adaptability—especially in identifying business opportunities and managing client relationships.
• Sales and Negotiation Skills:
Experience in managing client relationships, closing deals, and negotiating contracts is preferred.
• Collaborative Mindset:
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects at once.
• Language Skills:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
